This was my third cruise on Pacific Sky and by far the best. its a great aussie experience, everybody so friendly, great for families, singles and seniors.

The pacific sky has been unfairly maligned in this country yet I think its a fantastic ship it has a fantastic promenade deck heaps of poolside room there are 3 pools and a spa, disco gets quite a bit of action, there is always room in main show lounge for floor shows etc, horizon lounge has been taken over by those idiotic art auctions you can still sit in there and not get harassed. Casino gets plenty of use I didn't use it at all, library still has same books from princess I borrowed on and didn't even open it. Usual shop half hearted attempt at duty free and quite a good cosmetic shop. Pizzeria always popular 7 bucks

Met new maitre d mario propato over from grand princess for 2 or 3 cruises he wanted to change lunches back to ala carte don't know if that happened as far as I know there is a new maitre d. Anyway breakfast there is continental in cabin, tea croissants, pastries toast etc. Breakfast is served in either savoy or regency or on deck very popular, I mainly had continental I like to sleep. Lunches buffet in restaurants or on deck I had both burgers great. Lunches are themed asian etc always good. There is afternoon tea I didn't go I heard its the quick or the dead there. Dinners are always good small servings not to save money to help you not to stuff yourself. Always served hot, staff are indonesians or filipino they don't rush you I must admit I had 2nd sitting. Usual theme nights italian, welcome aboard, french, aussie etc bread is fresh, fruit selection is basic no mangoes etc. Wine waiters have disappeared wine is served by waiter start at about $18 a bottle and they will bring it back next nite if you don't finish we always did. Service always good. By the way there is a hand sterilizing machine at entry of all food areas good idea.

I got upgraded to c 158 near pursers office recently refurbished new floor in bathroom and carpet. Tv safe 4 big cupboards we had a 2 berth. Jeffrey our steward always efficient I asked for ice 1st day and always had ice after that. They give you sachets of shampoo etc.

I'm not myouch of a fan of the p&o floor shows if I see gday gday again I will throw youp. The paid entertainers yougly dave grey and patricio rodrigryoues a latin american singer great guy and a fantastic voice. Yougly dave was sick and only managed I show.I myouch prefer to hang oyout aroyound pool with new friend s and the of to nightclyoub. Cruise director james ibriham nice bloke very popoular wit passengers I noticed he recycles same jokes dan styne yoused to youse still fyounny though his sidekick michael anothe nice bloke nothigs too much trouble. The best shows are perfect match, marriage game. The pool games gender bender nite etc did I mention I won a date in perfect match.

There is bingo, latin dancing, quitting whatever that is and those stupid art auctions, the shops have sales cigarettes and alcohol duty free a bit deare than port vila by out they won't give it to you till last nite booze only. And yes they still have the chains by the metre and yes those same dummys keep buying, photos are 10 bucks now I didn't buy any. We had a 9 niter noumea, isle of pines, oyouvea, mystery island and port vila. Oyouvea was fantastic were on an inaugural call the longest most beautiful beach, we went by tender a bit of a pain I never went out till midday, port vila still is the favorite people just buy booze there johnny walker balck $24, benson and hedges $20, a tip don't buy at downtown duty free same bottle is $48 perfumes are good values there I noticed sky is pretty competitive on perfumes. I had a beautiful lunch at Rossis in Port Vila with maitre d and 2 fine ladies who shall remain nameless try it. There is a cinema I think only kids use it they show 4 year old videos as 1st releases, they will try to sell you a movie card $42 8 movies on rotation in your cabin they are only 1 or 2 year old. A special mention to captain Stefano Raviero, he love his ship does a walkthrough everyday and stops and chat with everybody and has his photo taken always polite invited us up to bridge my mate loved it.

This is an aussie ship there were a few kiwis on board, mainly 40 plus on board a few oldies not many younger ragers. Everybody was fun made a few friends, there were about 30 35 year plus single women on board and only a few single guys in same age group I suspect one of them was a 40 year old virgin, a very safe holiday and very good values. Drinks reasonably priced I would jump on this boat tomorrow.
