Overview
This cruise was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. My husband and I went for our honeymoon and travelled from Auckland - Lifou - Divine Island -Noumea - Isle of Pines - Auckland in 10 days.

Public Areas
The public areas were great. There were plenty of places to go, so if one room got too noisy, or you wanted to just move on, there was always somewhere else to go. I never once felt crowded and I could always be in the place I wanted to be.

Food and Service
The food was just amazing. Each morning you could either have breakfast delivered to your room, you could eat the buffet on the deck, or you could go to your allocated restaurant. There was just soooo much food!! For lunch you would again either eat on deck or go to your restaurant, The meals were themed so you never had the same food twice.

Dinner was an event! The meals were 5 course and just DELICIOUS. Big ups to the chef/s for being able to create meals of such quality for the amount of people! Some nights the wait staff would do a dance. My waiter was a gem, and my drinks waitress knew exactly what I was after each night!!

Cabins
We had one of the 8 suites onboard Pacific Sky. This had a balcony off the lounge, a separate bedroom (queen) that contained another TV, a massive bathroom with bath and shower, as well as a walk in wardrobe/changing room. There was plenty of room for everything and I must say I spread my stuff out a bit! Two TV's were great as the movie choices were so good my husband and I could never agree on one!

Entertainment
I attended one show on board which was of a really high standard. I had every intention of using the movie theatre but never found the time! Luckily they played 3 new movies a day in our cabin, and they were movies that were yet to be released back home. I frequented the casino each night before dinner which was a great way to spend all my money(!!) but it was fun.

Activities
Our first stop was in Lifou, Loyalty Islands. We had missed out on doing a shore tour (get in quick!!) so we had to entertain ourselves. We went for a walk and just had a general explore. There was a small craft place.

Port 2 was Divine Island. The crew all came aboard the island and cooked up lunch for EVERYONE! It was amazing. Great for a sunbathe and snorkel but there was nothing on this island (not even people!!)

Port 3 was Noumea. I was looking forward to the shopping aspect of Noumea but it wasn't all I had hoped for. Try to speak basic French in Noumea (at least a "bonjour") as it's clear the locals are so sick of english speaking folk yelling "HOW MUCH WAS IT??" If you make the effort they will make the effort back. (You'd be a bit agro too if people tried speaking to you in French all day!)

Port 4 was Isle di Pins. One word - AMAZING!!! Loacas bought their vans to where the tenders docked and charged us 8XPF each to take us on a drive around the island. This was the best thing I could have done. The driver didn't speak a word of English but he was able to take us to places we would not have seen otherwise. He was so friendly too. He let us stop for photos every 5 seconds and was really patient with our tourist antics! I finally went for a snorkel on this island and it was just amazing. The water was so clear...ahhh. I never wanted to leave. The fish just swim around your ankles in knee deep water so you don't have to be a swimmer on this island. Just take your goggles and an underwater camera. Activities on the boat were great - quilling, quizzes, leather making, jewellery making, you name it! You couldn't get board. If you just wanted to chill you could kick back on a lounge chair with a Daiquiri!

Who Goes
I thought the passengers were going to be me (age 23) and everyone else over 80. Not quite! There were kids who I never saw because they were so well entertained away from anywhere I wanted to be (thank you P&O!!). There were about 20 of us in our 20's and a big age mix really. We were paired with a couple a few years older, and 2 guys my age. I loved them all! On a cruise, EVERYONE is your friend. You can sit at a table with a stranger and they're your best mate while you're sitting there. Everyone is just happy to be cruising that everyone is just lovely!! I had an 85 year old lady come find me every time we went on a tender so I could help her! If you are thinking about going - just do it. It will be the most amazing thing ever!!
