Itinerary: Caribbean - Eastern

Overview
The Norway lived up to and even exceeded my expectations. I was not sure that I would like traveling on an older ship. I was wrong. You should try the Norway at least once. If you do, I think you will return for another cruise.

Public Areas
The International Lounge was one of my favorite rooms. It looks as if it could still be part of a great trans Atlantic ship. The enclosed promenades were very interesting.

Food and Service
The food got better as the week progressed. The Great Outdoor Cafe was a disappointment. The food and service in the Windward dining room was much better. Mario was our waiter and he was very good.

Cabins
I was a single traveler and the inside cabin that I had No72 was excellent. I was not sure what I was going to get. (They assign cabins one week before sailing.) I had a double bed, two closets, with a very nice shower and bath. It might have been crowded for two people, but it was more than enough for me.

Entertainment
Overall, the entertainment was very good. I enjoyed the production shows as well as the special Christmas show the staff put on.

Activities
This was the first cruise that had a lot of sea days. I usually am always on the go and I enjoyed having days at sea where I didn't have to "see this" or "see that". In St Martin, I did the "America's Cup" race. IT WAS WORTH THE TRIP!!!!!!!! If you are ever in St. Martin and an active person, DO IT!! Even if you are not active, you can go along for the ride. They let you do as much or as little as you want.

Who Goes
My diner table was all other single people and with the exception of one person, I have made 5 great friends. I have already had e-mail with two of them. They helped to make my first single cruise the best that it could be. Some of us may even cruise together again.
