Itinerary: Caribbean - Southern

Overview
This was a 12 day cruise to Southern Caribbean which is much too long. The ports were OK although why they stopped in San Juan at 8:00 PM at night was incredibly stupid. You cannot go sightseeing at that hour, much less go shopping, etc. This is something they should really look into. One of the most interesting cities in the Caribbean and they arrive at 8:00PM? The cabins are very nice, although mine got flooded and we had to move to another cabin. The Americans on board were the minority. The European passengers were very aggressive, arrogant and rude. If you are sensitive I would not recommend this cruise. They have another culture. This ship would have a higher rating except for the European passengers who ruined the cruise. I would suggest that MSC line think about cruises for Americans only and cruises for Europeans only.

Public Areas
The public areas were fine. The pool area was roomy. In many ways this ship is equal to The Disney Magic. I do not use casinos, although they seemed to be always full.

Food and Service
The food and service was very good. Had much better meals here than on the Disney Line. There were buffets on the deck.

Cabins
The cabin was excellent. Very room with private bath with tub and shower. The steward cabins were excellent. Although after the fourth night my cabin was flooded (minor) they did move us to an upgrade cabin. Lots of space and TV. Also fresh fruit to your room in the afternoon. Lots of closet space and our room had 3 bureaus.

Entertainment
The cruise staff is very good. The entertainments was poor. About the worst entertainment I have seen on any ship.

Activities
The daytime activities are the standards you find on all cruise ships which I never attend. The ports were San Juan (at 8:00pm?) St. Thomas, Antigua, Grenada, St.Lucia, Guadeloupe and Port Lucaya. There was child care available.

Who Goes
The American and Canadian passengers were fine. However the Europeans when in a confined situation are the most boorish, offensive, annoying passengers to be stuck with. Extremely rude....I would never go on this ship again because of them.
