MV Sunbird

Date of Trip: October 1, 2001
Itinerary: Mediterranean

Overview
I would definitely recommend a cruise onboard the Sunbird as for the price it is worth every penny & if you are a first time cruise like myself then the Sunbird is definitely the ship to experience your first cruise on.

Public Areas
The public areas were comfortable & always kept clean, everywhere i went there was a member of crew busy polishing or dusting! The top deck was great for sunbathing but my friend & i felt that the pool was rather salty so a bottle of fresh water or juice was good to keep handy at the pool side after a dip to get rid of the taste!

Food and Service
The food was satisfying & there was always plenty of chances throughout the day to satisfy the palate! the evening meals and a good selection of fine foods. The services was at a good pace & with a smile, waiters & crew always having friendly conversation.

Cabins
I was sharing a cabin with my friend & we found to have plenty of space for everything as we don't tend to travel light! They were very clean & the beds were made up for you at night & also in the morning by lovely staff & we never once managed to catch them cleaning our room as we would either be at dinner or breakfast so we were never interrupted with the room attendants.

Entertainment
The entertainment most nights was enjoyable but for the older generation as my friend & I found our evening entertainment in the disco!

Activities
The itinerary always had something on it to suit everyone but we only went on one day trip to Sorrento which was breath taking! Most of our week was spent lapping up the sun on top deck or taking a dip in the pool!

Who Goes
Our fellow passengers were all very friendly & pleasant. As my friend & I are in our late teen we were vary before arriving onboard that there would be no one in our age group but suprisingly we found a group of people our own age who we spent our week with & enjoyed each others company.
