Itinerary: Mediterranean

Overview
The seven day "mediterranean splendor" cruise aboard the OLYMPIA VOYAGER is one of the best cruises for this region this year. The ports of call are GENOVA , NICE , CHIVITAVECCHIA, MESSINA, KUSADASI, SAMOS, RODOS, KOS and PIREUS. The ports themselves and for sure the ship are something "unique" for the people who love cruising.

Public Areas
The public areas of OLYMPIA VOYAGER are mainly located on deck 6. From ahead to astern, ALEXANDER THE GREAT MAIN LOUNGE, VOYAGERS CLUB CIGARS ROOM, CASINO, SHOPPING ARCADE, LIBRARY, CARD ROOM, SIRENES PIANO BAR, HORIZON BUFFET RESTAURANT. On deck 5 we found all the way astern the main dinning room and at amidships the reception, information desk and excursion office. On deck 7 there is a nice pool and the AVRA CAFE POOL BAR, and also the GYM, the SPA and all the way ahead the ANEMOS SKY LOUNGE. All the public rooms are very well designed and decorated and even when the ship is full of passengers (aprox. 900) it never seems overcrowded. For me the best place on the ship is the ANEMOS SKY LOUNGE. The section of outdoor spaces is the weak one on the OLYMPIA VOYAGER. Due to the HIGH speed (27-28 knots) the open deck spaces are limited so there is no a walk - around promenade. The pool it self is nice and very well decorated with italian mosaics. The casino is not so big but you can find every thing you want.

Food and Service
I prefer to eat at the main dinning room were the service is superb. The food is very good but i think that this year the there are no so many choices. There is also the HORIZON buffet restaurant.

Cabins
At this cruise we have a SC (mini suite) category cabin located on deck 4. The cabin was really nice and very well equipped. There is a small refrigerator, a satellite tv and a safe. The closet space is more than enough for a seven day cruise for a couple and an infant. The bathroom is not so big but the appointment of it make it look bigger than it is. The shower is big enough for a full size person. In the bathroom there is a hair dryer and a full basket of soaps, shampoos, body lotions, etc. The cabin was very quiet and during the seven days we did not have any kind of problem.

Entertainment
The entertainment was the best ever. Very nice shows and especially the greek night with mr HARIS KRITIKOPOULOS and his bouzouki. In generally all the entertainers and the cruise staff are very good and they make all passenger really feel good.

Activities
The itinerary as i mentioned before is unique. It can be accomplished because of the high speed of OLYMPIA VOYAGER. The best ports are NICE, MESSINA, KUSADASI, RODOS and KOS. The health club is also very nice and offers a full variety of treatments.

Who Goes
During this period of the year the passengers are mostly Europeans (Italians, French, Germans, Greeks, English etc). The majority of fellow passengers are very nice people and with some of them we have some very interesting conversations.
