A great disappointment. Ports of call cancelled. Ports visited were the pits but for Manaus and I have thoughts about it. If one has a tendancy to sea sickness forget this ship. I would never sail, nor recommend, Royal Olympic Lines. If I could give it less than one star I would. The year we travelled was 2003. Bring lots of seasick medications.
Public areas small. Not enough lounge chairs on the very few open decks. Pool was never open and the casino OK. Did not find these areas at all comfortable.
Food presented nicely but very mediocre - even the Greek food, Our waiter and busboy were excellent. Deck 'buffet' was awful.
We referred to our cabin as "The Cabin From Hell". Terribly noisy with the housekeeping office directly across from us, cigarette smoke prevailed and rocked and rolled. Shower was OK.
Costumes excellent, otherwise mediocre to poor. Lectures were tremendous. Cruise staff needs more training.
Busy days for older folk. Stopped in Virgin Gorda, Barbados, Isla Marguerita (awful), Boca da Valeria (embarrassingly bad), Manaus, Santarem (a real nothing), Trinidad and St. Thomas.
Passengers were fine and a generally older group. We were fortunate to have wonderful dinner companions. Lots of people down ill for a few days.
