Royal Caribbean International

MV Voyager of the Seas

Your Rating:Five Stars

Date of Trip: March 26, 2000
Itinerary: Caribbean - Western

Overview
A most beautiful and fun ship, the Voyager is the BEST!! The stops were OK, Labadee, Jamaica and Cozumel, but the ship was worth the trip. The service was fabulous, the shows were great, the food plenty and very good, the casual entertainment was fun, overall, highly recommend this ship.

Public Areas
All areas of the ship were great. Plenty of pool space, the Pig and Whistle was fun, the Promenade idea is a hit, enough lounges for all types of music, the Windjammer is always a favorite, the exercise room comfortable, lots of activities like rock climbing, basketball, etc.

Food and Service
The food was very, very good, the midnight buffet exquisite, even though they should have more chocolate covered strawberries, (good idea to do only one of these buffets), the Windjammer food great, pizza and ice cream all the time in the Promenade area is fantastic. No complaints about any of the services.

Cabins
Had a cabin with a porthole, better than no window at all. Saw the cabins with deck, that's the way to go if you can. Never enough closet or drawer space, but always plenty of room under the bed for storage. Bath was fine, you don't want to spend a lot of time there anyway. Very quiet, except when dropping the anchor, we were right above and you can REALLY hear that.

Entertainment
Fantastic! Loved the Ben Verren show. Should have more "celebrity" shows. Very entertaining, but I'd suggest a variety of shows instead of so much dancing, maybe a magician, illusionist, full comedy show, etc. The entertainers in general were a lot of fun and very good.

Activities
While on board, plenty to do or do nothing at all, golf, climb, hoops, cards, read, sunbathe, dance, eat and eat again, relax, jog, skate, games, so much more. Jamaica and Cozumel were OK, did shopping, horse back riding was fun in Cozumel, don't expect to see real ruins, but fun anyway. (Efrain was a great guide for this)Labadee was fun, try parasailing, banana boats and wave runners are a blast. Snorkeling in Labadee not good. Jamaica was colorful, fun, needed more time there.

Who Goes
We had a group of 57 friends and neighbors, so we had fun. All in all, everyone on board was friendly and seemed to be having fun.
