Itinerary: Caribbean - Western

Overview
This is a beuatiful ship offering things never before offered on a cruise ship. The problem is there really isn't room for some of the things and the crew so many times seemed overwelmed and short tempered.

Public Areas
The pool area especially on 'sea' days is way over-crowded. no room in the water and no deck chairs to be found, especially at the adult pool.

The promanade is ok accept during the parades when it's a mob scene. Casino as usual was uninhabitable by non-smokers who enjoy breathing.

Missed a piano bar that only had a piano music rather then the 'canned' sounds added from a computer in the Schooner bar here. Raul's string group (Rosario Strings-dinner and teal piano area) however was wonderful.

Food and Service
The food was as always-quite good and great variety. Dining room service not as good as past ships on same line. The staff just seemed overwelmed by the number of guests. Buffets(nightime ones)were way overcrowded. Windjammer was fine and good as always. Johnny Rockets needed to be 2-3x the size it is.

Cabins
Pretty good-even with 4 of us. Could use a bit more drawer/closet- but not bad. The rounded showers really make a big difference-thank you! I really don't appreciate being asked for the "my envelope"(tip) by the stateroom attendent.

Entertainment
Ice show and Audience particapation stuff were such fun. James and his staff were great! "Dreamscape" was too weird. Other shows were good, especailly the Broadway one. Comics and lead performers weren't the best I've seen on RCCL- but still quite good.

Activities
There is so much to do you can't possibly get to it all. Ice skating at sea was fun and the kids learned new tricks. Loved the salt water pool but it was sooo crowded,as was miniture golf and shuffleboard.

LOVED Labadee-beautiful and totally relaxing day-good BBQ too. Ocho Rios and Georgetown also good(could we get there later though?)

We missed Freeport for a problem with their dock I can find nothing about on the net anywhere-but the extra day at sea was fine with us EXCEPT then we got in 3hrs early on Sunday, none of the activities that were to be available were and we were basically tossed off early, lossing a part of the day we paid for!

Who Goes
We are from the West coast-most of the friends we made are from the East coast. Otherwise yes most definatly. We met really nice people.
