Overview
Seven days venice to barcelona.....Excellent service....Excellence outside cabin.....Very good food...Very user friendly ship....Great security....Great ports of call...ROME, NAPLES, SICILY, MALTA & VILLEFRANCHE.

Public Areas
Everything is centrally located off atrium area. Good casino, nice theatre and I especially liked the little lounge off the casino when the jazz jam sessions are held. Plenty of outside deck space and 2 pools, indoor and outdoor. The miniature golf was cute, but once is enough. Windjammer cafe for breakfast buffet or alternative dining is excellent in food and nice decor.

Food and Service
Don't bother with open seating breakfast in the dining room. The Windjammer is much better and a lot faster. Everything from make your own omelet to bagels and lox. Dinner in the dining room was very good food with excellent service. Dining room balcony is a good spot to be seated. Only one midnight buffet but still plenty to eat at all hours.

Cabins
Standard outside cabin is very spacious with big window. All cabins are centrally located, not much walking required. Cabin steward's service was also excellent. Free in room movies 24/7 plus tv in 5 languages. No noise, very smooth sailing. Nice bathroom with hair dryer. 110v current.

Entertainment
Shows were ok. Mostly musical acts, magician, acrobat etc plus nicely staged b'way style shows all geared for an international audience. Very good bands al over the ship.....Poolside, lobby, dining room and lounges.

Activities
Cruise was very port intensive....5 ports in 7 days. Shore excursions were well organized, left on time, and good tour guides. Maybe a bit expensive but worth it. Especially when you have only 9 hours to see Rome or Naples. You can do Villefrance / Monte Carlo on your own.

Who Goes
Passengers were mostly British. 300 Americans cancelled(after 9/11). Some brave americans like myself sailed anyway, along with some Germans, Italians, Spaniards and even some Brazilians. The tours were given in many languages so the ones I took had mostly British and Americans.
