Overview
Going on a cruise is the perfect way to get away, be treated like royalty, and to simply have fun! Sovereign of the Seas was a magnificent ship. The crew was always out to help, the cruise director and captain were extremely nice, and the activities were terrific.

Public Areas
Many will agree, Follies' Lounge was the place to be. It had wonderful entertainment every night, despite the crowdedness.

We stayed on the Promenade Deck (Level 7), which was the deck that went around the entire ship. In my opinion, it was also the best level to stay on. You could just wake up, walk out of your state room and simply go outside without using an elevator to get there.

Although I didn't go, I heard the casino was fantastic. Many people won a lot of money.

I loved the pools. They were 5'6", I think, at the deepest part. They had a place to lay in the water around the inside of the pools (you know, because water attracts sunlight; it was only a few inches deep). If there wasn't a place to be, I was at the pools.

Food and Service
In the mornings we ate at the Windjammer Cafe, which is buffet-style, we usually ate lunch off of the ship or didn't eat it at all, and we ate dinner in Gigi's Dining Room (Second Seating). I highly recommend going to the second seating at dinner because you can finish what you are doing during the day without having to leave and get ready for the show and dinner. The first seating was at 6:15 (show at 5), and the second at 8:30 (show at 7:15).

The service at dinner was awesome! I loved being treated like a princess, especially by *handsome* gentlemen. Our assistant waiter, Ruslars, never let the tea in my glass reach within 3 inches of the bottom. He was fantastic, and extremely nice looking as well. :-)

The meals were better than my "home-cooked Tennessee meals" ever are, were, or will be. They were never cold or missing anything.

Cabins
The cabin was a lot smaller than I expected, but there were also a lot more things to do as well. My mom and I fit all of our belongings in there with room to spare.

The bathroom was a tad bit cramped, but, ya know, there are people out there that will never see a bathroom as nice as the ones there, so I easily got over it!

Entertainment
I absolutely loved the shows! There were comedies, broadways, impressionists, and talents. They were awesome. On a scale of 1-10, My opinion of the entertainers is a 15. I laughed, laughed, and laughed some more at the comedies, and I was in awe of the Broadway show...it was great!

Activities
On board, I was always busy! If I had never even gotten off of the ship, I still wouldn't have been able to do all of the things available! There was shopping, spas, concerts, contests, dances, parties...etc...!! I especially enjoyed checkin' out the guys, though! haha...

Who Goes
I was surprised at how charming the other passengers were. Most people treat Tennesseans as if they deserve to be better than us, but everyone was so nice! They all wanted to meet up later and go see one of the movies, or something along the lines of getting to be friends. I made so many friends...I just could not believe how willing everyone was to make the Sovereign a better place for everyone to stay! hehehe...
