Itinerary: Caribbean - Eastern

Overview
A very fun and energetic cruise with many activities to do. Arrive at the port early there is not enough tie to enjoy all the places on the this size of a ship even with eight days. Also arive late for the muster drill, with thousands of people in cramped places, in 900 weather, it will be stuffy hot and sticky.

Public Areas
This ship has so much to do onboard, I especially enjoyed walking aound the royal promanade and walking around the entire ship on the promenade deck on deck 4. This ship is very clean and in very good condition, although there are some places on the ship that are dead and sad to look at like the forward centrum on decks 9 and 10 where there is two chairs and stained carpets.

Food and Service
The windjammer cafe' certainly has a lot to off but quality isn't exactly that good, also beign very crowded, a better place to go would be the jade even though i have never eaten there it is never crowded and I have heard that the food was pretty good. The main dining room on decks 3, 4 and 5 was a sight to look at. We were at table 559 in the Swan Lake dining room, having sailed on Celebrity Cruises Mercury this resturaunt was not as "Fancy," as the Mathattan restaurant onboard Mercury. Service was very very good, our stateroom attedent was one of the best, our waiter named Slama from Tunisia, and our assistant waiter Jose' from Mexico were super nice and hardworking. Although there was one lady whose name I did not get a chance to write down was very mean and acoused me of pressing all the buttons on the elevator because, I am only thirteen and latter told us to "Just get off," if I would have got her name i would have definetly filed a complaint at the guest relations desk.

Cabins
Our cabin, a Promanade stateroom, was small of course but was very modern and super clean.I especially like the restroom and the lighting. There were over 14 lights in it and it could get very bright. I wouldn't watch on of the parades in the Royal Promenade from the room though because, you would be able to see everything but the siting area near the windows is a good place to read the daily cruise compass and to look at what there is to do at tomorrows port of call.

Entertainment
There is non stop entertainment and activities on this ship, Becky Thomson was the cruise director and she was very nice and energetic being all over the ship at all the competitions, shows, and activities. She would say hello or "Hello Love," to everyone she saw. This is defiantly one the ships with the most entertainment, shows, and activities at sea.

Activities
Our eastern caribbean itinerary had almost the perfect ports of call although the some hours were short and weird. The first port of call was Nassau were we went to the Atlantis hotel to walk around but didn't get to much time since we arrived at 7 and left at 2pm. The second day we were at sea, and the next day were arrived in St. Thomas in the U S Virgin Islands were the Carnival Triumph and the Carribean Princess were also in port. 3!! mega ships in port at once all over 900 feet this might not be a surprise to most people but being from San Francisco barely any ships come here so this was something big to me. We took a taxi cab to Magen's beach who claims to be on the of the top 10 beaches in the world. It was very nice even though the showers and faucets were salt water. The next day we arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico where we took a 2 hour long tour stopping at the San Crisibol fort and the El Morro and we visited old San Juan were many brand name companies have shops. Next stop was Labadee, Haiti Royal Carribean's private island this was one of the best places where you can snorkle to a plane wreck and just to go swimming but it was not very fun having to watch out for huge jelly fish and being stung from ones that you can't even see, but the natives from Haiti just picked ones up the size of their hand which did make me fell a little bit better. The Haitian flee market is a good place but you probably should stay away it you don't have any money as they will call you over and get mad if they found out you don't have any money.

Who Goes
People of all ages go, but mainly middle age and younger people. There were some teenagers who were horsing around and I overheard some who asked some other people to sneak some alcohol for them , underage drinkers. And there were some very uptight people who bragged about there suite and how they arrived in a limo who I thought were very insulting and made me very mad. and always there were people who were very nice and who we made good friends with starting from when we met them on the Alamo rent a car shuttle to the cruise terminal.
