Overview
It was a beautiful and modern ship. I've been on two others, one which was newer, but this remains to be my favorite. I loved watching the shows every night with the many friends I met, and even when we were out at sea there was always something to do.

Public Areas
The lounges and sitting areas were all very clean and well attended, and the Viking Crown Lounge has a great view from the height of the ship, it was my favorite place to hang out, being a 14-year-old. The only thing that I didn't like about this lounge was the smoking area in the back, where the cigar aroma always floated in. The pool was great for those hot days and the solarium was equally as good, being that it served ice cream in the afternoons! The casino was always bustling, but I'm still not old enough to gamble!

Food and Service
The waiters were the nicest that I've ever had on a cruise so far, and I hope to see them on my next cruise. They were actually nice the entire time, as opposed to the ones who suddenly remember that they need to earn their tip, at the last few days of the cruise. The food was great most days, although I never really ate in the buffet because it was always crowded and the food picked over most of the time.

Cabins
I had a cabin with a veranda on the 7th floor, and I found it very worthwhile when we were cruising the fjords of New Zealand so I didn't have to step out in the cold and wind on the upper decks. It was a wonderful and clean cabin, with cheery stewards who were always there when you needed them. The shower was a standard sized shower for a cruise ship, but the bathroom was spacious enough.

Entertainment
I made it a habit to see the early seating show with several of my friends every night. I loved the Broadway-style shows but I found the stars to be a little unfriendly outside of the performance. And the guests from the ports were usually okay, although a little amateur.

Activities
I was in the teen program, so there was always something for me to do when out at sea during the lull times, when you've run out of things to do with your friends (which rarely happened). I also looked at the normal activity schedule and there was always something happening, which is always nice. Our ports in New Zealand were quaint and small most of the time, and of course, Sydney Australia was BEAUTIFUL! I actually want to live there it's so wonderful.

Who Goes
Wow. This was the culture shock of my life! People from Australia, New Zealand, all over the US, Canada, Europe, Malaysia...and the list goes on and on...I would definitely have them to my home, and I wish I could! I keep in touch with about half of them, and I counted about 30 my own age that I met.
