The experience on this ship was better than on other cruise lines. The service was great, and I met some very nice people. The small size is nice because it is more one-on-one. I became friends with the cruise director, and we talked throughout the cruise. I went on a 4 day cruise and it was nice, but I felt like it was getting a little too small towards the end. I wouldn't do a 7 day or longer on this ship, but 4 days was perfect for me. If you do like intimate settings then go on this ship for 7 days or longer, but that's not my style.

The public areas were great. It was never too crowded while in the halls or at the theater and you can't really get lost on a ship of this size. The only problem with the public areas was that the ship only has one pool, and sometimes it got a little to full to actually swim.

The food was good, but I noticed it was better on 7 day cruises. Don't take this the wrong way the food was great, but if you really want the goo stuff, go on a 7 day or longer cruise.

Another reason I would just go on a 4 day cruise on this ship is the cabins. They were comfortable, but the ship has very few balcony cabins. I had a window and it was nice because I was only in the room to sleep. But I do love to have a balcony. While an interior cabin was being cleaned, I looked in, and I preferred my window. If you are on a budget though, an interior is fine, but if you have the extra cash, go for a window. The cabins on this ship are great for short cruises, but if you do go on a longer cruise on this ship, go for a balcony, or a large cabin with a window.

The entertainment was great. The crew was friendly and helpful. The Empress doesn't have as much entertainment as the Voyager class, but it was nice.
For an itinerary, I would suggest only few days at sea on this ship because it is small. It is nice to have 1 or 2, but don't do to many.
The people were very nice. People complimented me, we talked, and all went well. It was great how friendly everyone was. I would love to see some of them again.
