Overview
THE SHIP and CREW were just fine. The DESTINATIONS were interesting and A-OK. We (late-40's) laid around the pool, dressed up for formal nights, and hit all the island excursions. Never had a glitch -had a great time overall. 10 day cruise via Panama was active but easy going as well.

Public Areas
The POOL areas were bustling but laid-back. No damn Belly-flop contests here!! A great wooden plank promenade for jogging or an after dinner stroll was great. Disco??? Ha! Empty..too old a crowd on a $4,000 to $8,000/cpl cruise for late nite anything.. Casino was a modest affair for a mega-ship (they all look the same to me).

Food and Service
FOOD was great.. seasoned cruisers said not quite as good as Super lux cruise lines.. I loved the buffet up on a top deck surrounded by glass. We had 3 formal nights for dinner and it was spiffy, but not snooty at all. Very nice. Morning room service w/coffee and fruit was free and GREAT!

Cabins
INSIDE cabin on a top deck was a good value$$$--maybe an inside cabin way down below would be inconvenient on a ship this size.

Entertainment
Shows did not interest us much...Cruise staff was lively and fun overall. We sailed for the sun and destinations not the nightlife...

Activities
CARIBBEAN plus PANAMA CANAL in 10 days. This was shore excursion oriented... Scuba..jungle excursions..shopping...and of course THE BIG DITCH !!! WOW!! Costa Rica for 2 1/2 days was my highlight w/volcanos and monkeys and crocodiles.....

Who Goes
No belly-floppers on our cruise...Older mix than I expected..no kids. Mostly White middle class Anglos from USA with some honeymooners and a few family groups as well...Our dinner companions were just a delight..This was not a cheap-skate crowd, but neither was it snooty& aloof. We had great travelers in general who wanted to RELAX and get a little mid-Winter sun.....
