Itinerary: Caribbean - Western

Overview
My wife and our two children, ages 5 and 15 sailed the Eastern Caribbean. This is a wonderful ship! Layout is very easy to get used to.

Public Areas
The Lido deck is where most daytime activities are held. The Neptunes Reef Pool and the Calypso Reef pool are both on this deck along with the Horizon Court Buffet. The Calypso pool has a retractable dome for rainy days. There are two other pools, one on the Sun deck at the Oasis Spa. This is the lap pool. The other is at the rear of the ship on the Aloha deck.

Food and Service
I would have to say the food and service is excellent. The Horizon Buffet operates 24 hrs a day. We chose the Personal Choice option for dinner. A good idea when you have little ones who are not into 5 course meals It was nice to sit with different people every night.

Cabins
Our cabin was on the Emerald deck. It was nice but could have used some more closet space. We thought our room on the Dawn Princess was a little nicer. We were very close to the panoramic elevators making it very easy to get where we wanted to go.

Entertainment
The entertainment was great. Marty Allen and his wife were the the headliners of the week. The other comedians and the magician were nice.

Activities
Our main concern was the childrens activities. The Fun Zone for the 5 yr. old was great! Our little one had a great time while we sat by the pools and did our thing. The staff does a great job! It was nice to drop him off at 7 pm while we went to dinner and a show. Our 15 yr old made many friends and was not happy to see the week end!

Who Goes
Everybody goes. We saw all age groups, families, singles and couples.Mostly Americans some Canadians, Brits. and other Europeans.Great trip for the whole family!I would highly suggest Princess for anyone!!We have been on two and cant wait to go again!!!
