Itinerary: Caribbean - Eastern

Overview
Grand Princess is a ship that offers something for everyone. However, it requires extensive walking to get to dinner and other locations on the ship. I would recommend a mid ship location. The food was good, although I was a bit disappointed and are most meals in the alternative dining. Balconies are a must on this ship. Staff was not very friendly. Although the ship holds thousands you are rarely waiting in line for anything.

Public Areas
The public areas are very comfortable and most of the areas are liquor related. The promenade was a great way to walk off the meals and enjoy the ocean air. Casino was not very large and did not offer any winners that I saw. Many made comments about the casino in a negative fashion.

Food and Service
Food was good, not great. It was obvious that the head waiter was always looking for a hand out. The formal nights were the best. We chose alternative dining most nights and really enjoyed the variety of dining options.

Cabins
Room with a balcony was a comfortable size. Balcony was the highlight and we spent much of our time on ours enjoying the ocean view. Closets were terrible and cramped. Bathroom was very small and the toilet back draft was in the bathroom constantly.

Entertainment
Entertainment was good, there was not enough lounge entertainment going on during the pre/post dinner hour. Headliners were "Has Been".

Activities
We loved the Spa, it offered many programs for men and women. It has reasonable pricing and the staff was very accommodating. Ship stopped in Princess Cay- BORING and St. Thomas - A fun island with great jewelry deals. (Be Careful) and St. Marten (Destroyed by a hurricane) We were the first ship to the island in 6 weeks and should not have gone. The island was still cleaning up and needed another month.

Who Goes
We were surprised to see many seniors and really met about a dozen people. We would invite about 4 people to our home.
