Itinerary: Alaska - Inside Passage

Alaska is gorgeous, and the Diamond Princess is a big, beautiful ship. But the captain and crew are horrible!

Public areas were great - this is a wonderful platform for viewing the awesome Alaskan seashore.

Best service in the "Vivaldi" (Italian) room. Otherwise, service was downright rude.

"Baja" deck outside room was great. Avoid "Aloha" - foot traffic on roof makes sleeping difficult.

Juneau and Victoria were both skipped due to crew/technical problems (long story). You will not get to see the glacier at Tracy Arm; the captain will cite the "unusual number of ice floes". Victoria is usually skipped "because it's too windy".(regardless of whether it's actually windy). The tour-train in Skagway was nice. Just walking around Ketchikan is a good way to spend the short stay there.
