We were on the ship for 9/11, which was strange as you can imagine. But I will NEVER do a Princess cruise again. I have never seen a cruise line try so hard to sell you things every step of the way! Felt like I was in a Turkish bazaar. And they nickled and dimed us all the time. The ship was nice, and the crew helpful, and Alaska beautiful, but to paraphrase the Beach Boys, "this was the worst ship I've ever been on."
Public areas were about average for a cruise ship.
Food was OK. If you wanted a Coke with your supper you were overcharged for it, but not the end of the world. Again, average for a cruise ship.
Again average. We had an Ocean View and it was fine.
Shows were good quality. Not like Las Vegas or Broadway, but still entertaining.
Don't buy the on-shore packages on the ship. They were very overpriced. You can do much better by going ashore. Ideally, you could probably do even better by cruising the Internet before you leave and save even more.
Fellow passengers were all nice. Mostly middle class hardworking types.
