Alaska was great. Gorgeous scenery, wild animals, and beautiful cities. The Crown Princess exceeded our expectations. Our room steward was great, and called us by our first names every day. The only flaw was the food. To me, the food was not that great. I would like to see more eating choices and a better variety of food.
Everything was great with the public areas. Casino was a little too crowded.
As I mentioned before, the food was not that great. Too exotic, and bland tasting. We chose to eat at the Cabana Cafe most nights, instead of the formal dining room. We did not want to dress for dinner and therefore avoided the formal and semi-formal nights.
The cabin was better than we had expected. There was three grown males in our cabin, and we had plenty of room. More than enough drawer space and ample closet space. I had the upper berth and was surprised by the head room that I had.
The entertainment was great. We went to several of the shows in the International Show Lounge. We especially enjoyed the Chinese acrobats that starred in the shows.
We attended several activities hosted by the various cruise staff. We stopped at Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway. The ports of call were great. The cities were beautiful and not too crowded.
She attracts a broad range of passengers, although most were older than us.
