Premier Cruises

SS Seabreeze

Your Rating:One Stars

Itinerary: Caribbean - Western

Overview
This was the worst experience I have ever had in choosing a vacation. Premier's Seabreeze is an unattractive, old, and filthy ship whose service is worse than most. Islands were eliminated from our itinerary, and the ship sailed a day late due to air conditioning problems. Entertainment on board was lacking, and the atmosphere was dull and depressing. I would advise everyone to steer clear of this boat.

Public Areas
The public areas and lounges were small, unattractive, and dull. There was very little room to sit down or lounge. The casino barely accomodates 50 people. The carpeting, windows, and upholstery were so filthy that a month of cleaning would not do any good. The pool measure 6 feet x 8 feet and, once again, was an uninviting disaster. The ship lacked an atrium not to mention glass ceilings or elevators. There was no promenade, and the decks and hallways were so narrow and twisted that one gets lost at every turn.

Food and Service
The food was fairly good. Service was the only thing that rated as superior. I preferred the dining room vs. the buffet area which was rather unkept and also uninviting.

Cabins
The cabins on this boat are a joke. My bed was so small that a 5 year old child would not sleep comfortably. I actually measured the entire bathroom as 4 feet x 4 feet. Unbelievable! There was one small closet available which was sufficient to hang 2-3 dresses but inappropriate for a one week tour. Noise abounded on the corridors and you can expect to hear your neighbors conversations word for word.

Entertainment
I attended each one of their evening shows. Elvis impersonators and juggling acts prevailed. We had 1 good comedy act. The rest of the shows were dated and lacking in interest for most 30-40-year-olds. The entertainment director was rude and uninformative. Furthermore, there was a lack of variety in the entertainment activities offered on board.

Activities
We were scheduled to visit Belize, Honduras, Cozumel, and Key West. We only made it to Key West and Cozumel due to malfunctioning engines. It's a shame to choose your cruise ship on the basis of itinerary and then to be stuck at sea for 4 days out of 7. This is especially true in light of the poor communication from Premier officials as to schedule changes.

Who Goes
I did not care for any of my fellow passengers. Most were older than myself and extremely unsophisticated. Our cruise was made up of mostly lower-middle class 60-70 year olds. Unlike my other cruises, I did not make 1 worthwhile acquaintance on this trip. I did have to dodge a few, however.
