Overview
Our four-day vacation was a dream come true, not only for the kids, then ages 8 and 10, but for my husband and me also. I was reluctant to go, at first, thinking that a cruise ship was no more than a floating hotel. But I am very glad I took the cruise. It was fabulous. My husband and the kids loved the whirlpools. My husband loved the laid-back atmosphere and the day at sea. I loved Salt Cay. Port Lucaya was a disappointment. We are glad that the ship will not be stopping there this summer, as we are planning our second cruise aboard the Big Red Boat.

Public Areas
The kids did not like the salt water in the pools and preferred to lounge in the whirlpools. We are not casino people, so we did not visit there. We enjoyed the nightly shows but avoided the daytime entertainment. We primarily enjoyed sitting on our balcony and enjoying the view.

Food and Service
We enjoyed the buffets for breakfast and lunch. The food was plentiful if not overly delicious. The dinners, however, were excellent. Our waiter, Goran, was very attentive and entertaining. I hope he will be there when we return. The midnight buffets were glorious, according to my husband and son who were the only ones left with enough energy to attend.

Cabins
Our cabin was located on the pool deck. It had a balcony, one of our favorite places. The room easily accommodated the four of us, but who spends a lot of time in a cabin when there is a ship to explore? We did not detect very much movement, and the gentle hum of the ship's engines was comforting. The bathroom was adequate for our needs.

Entertainment
We attended the nightly shows, which were very entertaining. The entertainers appeared fresh and enthusiastic, even though they must have presented their show endless times. The cruise staff was courteous and efficient.

Activities
I highly recommend Salt Cay. Avoid Port Lucaya.

Who Goes
We did not get to know any of our fellow passengers. Most of the passengers were families or senior citizens. The children and teenagers were well behaved, and the adults appeared to be having as much fun as the kids.
