I had a great time on the South Pacific Cruise. Pity about the rainy weather.
You have to participate in the passenger participation shows to unearth the star within you. There was plenty of time to walk around on the various outdoor decks.
The food was fabulous but breakfast was monotonous after a while.
I had an inside cabin so it was small. The air-conditioning is noisy but you get used to it.
I attended every show by the Pacific Sky Entertainers. They really do know the moves. I give them 8.5/10.
Shore tours can be very expensive compared to doing it on your own. It's cheaper to do your own especially in Vanuatu. The duty free there is amazing. Noumea in New Caledonia is relatively expensive in Australian dollar terms.
I found most of the passengers willing to have a great time. I thought travelling with my family would hinder my ability to meet my people but that didn't prove to be a problem. Anyone can come to visit my house for dinner however I don't provide 5 course meals !!
