The voyage was truly wonderful. A large group of French pasengers had pre-arranged to bring two of there own bands onboard to fill voids left by NCL. Dancing and socializing went until 4am each night. Well dressed passengers drinking martinis made even the tacky sports bar seem elegant.

The public areas were in desprate need of refurbishment. The original French line elegance still prevails but now threadbare and shaby. In the Club Internatial NCL must have forgot how to work the lights since many originals were never turned on and the room was bathed in unattractive flourescent light from behind the bar.

The food and service was very good! Again NCL needs to learn how to light a room. The beautiful Windward dinning room was to bright to start then halfway through dinner plunged into darkness each evening.

My catagory AC suite was very large with plenty of storage and a white marble bathroom. The balcony had a dead pidgeon on it when I first arrived and was filthy. The view was of a horribly mildewed lifeboat. I awoke each morning to the thunder of joggers on the deck above. Numerous complaints to the front desk brought no action.

The bands and music was first rate. The shows and comedy so so. The cruise diretor seemed phony and illsuited to his job.

The Health club was fair and often had a very unpleasent smell in it. The pool areas were dirty and needed refurbishment. The boarding and disembarking of the tenders in ports seemed very dangerous.

All of the Passengers were SS Norway fans onboard the "last cruise" of the ship. I appriciate good design and notice fine detail but this group drove me crazy!
