Itinerary: Caribbean - Eastern

Overview
My wife and I love Norwegian Cruise lines. They can put together a great cruise for a excellent price. We have said on the Norway five times now and love her. She is a beautiful ship; having charm, old world feel, and excellent service.

Public Areas
The Norway is the best you can come to old world charm. She is not the floating hotels they are building now. Her public spaces are large and comfortable and she has one of the largest casino's afloat. With two pools, and plenty of deck space, you can't go wrong.

Food and Service
Food onboard is incredible. Although on this past cruise they only had 3 midnight buffets as compared to 7 on previous sailings. The food on the Norway makes the price you pay well worth it. Each evening is like dining in a fancy 4 or 5 star restaurant. Many people eat the burgers and fries in the great outdoor restaurant...what fools, they are missing a true culinary experience. Don't miss the Bistro restaurant either...its worth a special night dining experience.

Cabins
Cabins are small on the Norway, but that is because of the age of the ship. We have sailed in the cheapest, medium and high end cabins on the ship and came to the conclusion that you should spend the least money you can and get a cheaper end cabin because you hardly spend time their anyway!

Entertainment
The broadway shows are unbelievable! Great entertainment! Comedians, singers, dancers...you name it. The only negative in this department is that the cruise staff on Norwegian don't get people involved as much a they could. But, overall, entertainment still get 4 1/2 to 5 stars.

Activities
We enjoy the Norway, because we can stay on board and enjoy the ship. But she has some great ports of call! Don't miss the Golden Eagle Catamaran tour! Worth every penny. The Norway has an incredible 6000 sf. spa. It is wonderful, although I thought the spa prices went up a little to much on this last cruise. Take advantage of the spa's in port specials...you can save 25-50% of massages and treatments.

Who Goes
Norwegian cruise lines caters to ages 24+. Yes you will find younger people onboard, but the crowd averages in the 30's to 50's. NCL is not a party line like Carnival. It is a very relaxing and enjoyable cruise line. Avoid the themed cruises (jazz, sports, motor racing etc. unless your into that sort of thing.)
