Itinerary: Caribbean - Western

Overview
It's been 2 years since we've been on the Majesty and a lot has changed. This ship retains it's charm which seems to be a major appeal of the smaller ships. I always thought the Majesty was a mid size ship but I guess nowadays you'd have to call it a small ship, but boy with it's super friendly crew and entertainment it can go toe to toe with the big boys.

Public Areas
Public area were pretty comfortable. Royal Fireworks lounge is used to mainly dancing to a great dance band "Amadeus", but during the day it's used to various functions. 2 Smaller areas flank this lounge with 2 big TV's, a favorite place on Sunday for NFL fans to hang out. Library was nice, roomy and well stocked. Palace theatre was filled to overflowing due to the great entertainment, but cozy.

Food and Service
Service was top notch, almost as good as Holland America. With all the talk of service deteriorating lately, you sure can't say that with this ships crew. Not a big fan of Freestyle Dining, but worked around that by requesting the same time and waiter every night after the second night when we came upon a Gem of a server, PuTu, who really gave us wonderful service. Service personal all over the ship always had a big smile and a warm greeting, it really was a special crew.

Cabins
Cabin was too small. I made a mistake by booking a regular cabin and not the "superior" cabins which are bigger. If you cruise on this ship make sure you get either a "superior inside" or a "superior outside" cabin.

Entertainment
Of all the cruises we've been on the entertainment on this ship was by far the best ever. It was such a big surprise. Ted the comedian, The Blackstreet Boys and Jane L. Powell were unbelievable great.

Also the ships singers and dancers were super. We made friends with Joe who gave us a back stage tour and they were all just super.

Activities
Itinerary was Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Key West. Had a super time at Cozumel with some new made friends on our ship and the Norwegian Sun who was in port at the same time. Ship board activities were quite varied and a lot better then our last Carnival cruise.

Who Goes
Very varied, from quite a few young kids, all well behaved, to some elderly. A very fun group everybody seemed to really have a great time.
