Itinerary: Mediterranean

Overview
Looks like earlier teething problems have been sorted out.Good value for money.First Choice phone operators excellent.Well organised transfers between airport and ship.Crew friendly and mostly very efficient. No sense of crowding even though cruise was fully booked.

Public Areas
Pool area always full. Needs more loungers.Ditto on side decks.Always able to get a seat in bars.Good waitress service.Good lookout deck at stern..not usually overcrowded

Food and Service
Oasis Restaurant excellent..always managed to get a reservation.Liked meeting new people at dinner every night.Beachcomber good for more casual meals..nice to eat meals on deck.Never managed to get waiter service in Island restaurant.

Cabins
Good size cabins..plenty of storage space.Might be better with spring mattresses instead of foam.On Flamingo deck..good size picture window.Cleaned regularly..a bit too often sometimes!!!!Very quiet..could'nt hear music or fellow passengers.

Entertainment
Went to one show. Very young troupe..worked hard. Not West End level but not end of pier either excellent pianist/singer in bar. Lot of older people that week..could do with playing more sing along numbers.

Activities
Well organised shore excursions,High quality guides.Good variety of trips..not too expensive.More interested in a cruise as means of seeing lots of places rather than sunbathing.Beauty salon good value.Stopped at Malta,Naples,Livorno,Toulon,Menorca and Palma.Plenty of time ashore for those who want it.

Who Goes
A lot of people from the North of England.Met quite a lot of teachers..Went with my sister in law..we are both teachers. Not a huge number of children. Majority seemed to be 40+mAm in touch with people I met on board.Friendly people..only met one complainer!!!!
