Itinerary: Caribbean - Western

Since this was our first cruise we have nothing to compare it with. We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise and would travel on the Bolero again.

The public areas were very comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting in the TopSiders Bar in the evening and listening to the music. The casino was great fun and was also a first time experience for us and I also won the jackpot on the slot machine. This was an added bonus.

The food was awesome, there was lots of it and lots of variety. The service was also excellent, our waiter was a very nice guy and he liked to joke around with us. Although we didn't go to every midnight buffet the ones we went to were great. Everything was displayed very nicely.

The cabins were tiny but there was enough room for my husband and myself. The closet had ample space as well as the shower. We felt that the room was fairly quiet. There was everything we needed in our room and when you are on a cruise, how often do you spend time in your room?

We attended some of the shows while on board. The week we went was swing week which we were not aware of and swing is not really our kind of music but the rest of the shows were excellent. The entertainers that are employed by the cruise line were excellent and very friendly.
While we were on board the ship we relaxed in the sun, went to the shows as well as the movie theatre that was on board. We also visited the casino occassionally. When we stopped at the ports we usually went sightseeing with a taxi or we went to the beach. When we stopped at st. Lucia we rented mopeds and toured the island. this was a great experience.
We went on the cruise with friends of ours therefore we ate dinner with them and we also had two single gentlemen at our table with us. We didn't get to know a lot of people but we did meet 2 couples who were from the same area we are from and we sort of knew them.
