Overview
This is definitely owned by Carnival as the food, service, and entertainment is really awful for the most part. I would definitely NOT recommend this trip to anyone! I would have rated it a 1 if it were not for a few positives listed below.

Public Areas
The atrium area and the spa were beautiful. The ship was laid out very nicely. As most of the staff was not helpful, you had to just walk around to find anything.

Food and Service
Dinner and service in the $20 per person alternative restaurant were OUTSTANDING! The food and service in the dining room were so poor that if we could have eaten at the alternative restaurant every night we would have. If you do go on this cruise, make reservations as soon as you set foot on the ship.

Cabins
The cabin itself was fine. We were in a balcony cabin on the 8th floor and unfortunately were under the galley for the buffet area on the 9th floor - it was noisy all night long. Our cabin stewardess was FABULOUS though. She was very attentive and sweet.

Entertainment
The acrobats the first night's show were great. Other than that, the shows were average.

Activities
Progreso, Mexico is a dump and the other port of call was Freeport, Bahamas - our shore excursion was cancelled while on board as we were going to be in port on Christmas Day. They had to have know this ahead of time. Very few activities on board, my 13 year old had nothing to do as there were very few planned events for teenagers.

Who Goes
There were over 500 children on the ship and a lot of them running around all day and night. Kids were in the casinos with their parents and no one did or said anything about it. The average age of fellow passengers was 35 to 60 years of age.
