This was my 5th cruise and my wife's 3rd. My wife cruised on the Fantasy about 10 years ago and was about sick the entire time. The cruise was in January and we had very rough seas. So she would not even talk about another cruise until last year. She agreed to sail on the Victory since it was sailing from Charleston,SC, which is only 2-3 hours from our home. This was a wonderful cruise with beautiful weather and we are already planning another cruise for May 2007.
We had no problem with the public area. There were some crowds at times but no more than we expected. My wife especially enjoyed the piano bar.
The food and service were excellent. Our waiter and busboy learned our first names the first evening and by the end of the cruise they were like part of our family.
We had a suite and our friends had a balcony cabin. The suite was worth the extra money. It was great.
The entertainment was okay.
We visited Atlantis while in Nassau and also spent a good deal of time shopping in Nassau and Freeport. We have been to the Bahamas several times but still enjoy going.
We had a table for four with our friends who were traveling with us so did not have a lot of contact with fellow passengers.
