Itinerary: Caribbean - Eastern

Overview
Great ship, still look new even though it was built in 1998. Loved the totally smoke-free concept. Spacious cabins, friendly crew, good food, nice itinerary. Lots to do all the time aboard the ship. Several bars and lounges, enjoyed the 24-hour pizza & salad plus ice cream/yogurt bar.

Public Areas
Large lounge room (Normandie Room) with plenty of seats, all with good view. 2 pools, a fun slide, 3 hot tubs (pool and pool area usually pretty crowded, have to go to the upper decks for a chair unless you get there early when ship is at sea. No walk-around Promenade to go totally around ship, have to go to different level, but still very enjoyable overall

Food and Service
Destiny and Elation formal dining rooms are large, elegant, very nice. Food was good and plentiful, but not first class. Buffet on deck was good, breakfast served 6-11 am and lunch from 11 am- 2 pm.

Cabins
Good size cabins, plenty of closet and storage space, bathroom was good size. Very quiet. We had cabin in front part of the ship, yet ship stabilizers work great!

Entertainment
Saw most shows,2 good quality broadway-type shows, funny comedians, mediocre ventriloquist. Cruise staff very good.

Activities
Stopped at Nassau, San Juan, St. Thomas. Recommend to take tours where possible, otherwise all the shopping is pretty much the same. Health club seemed to be good. Camp Carnival program for kids appeared to be very good, kids all seemed to be having a great time

Who Goes
Very nice group of passengers, had fun table mates. Age group of cruisers was all the way from kids to senior citizens.
