Itinerary: Canada/New England

The ship is large and vulgar without a scrap of tasteful decoration anywhere. The food is merely (generally) acceptable in quality and presentation. The service was either non-existent or very poor. The ship may be working out some "bugs". Unfortunately it is while you are there and paying for it.

The public rooms were apparently decorated by someone who was having a bad LSD flashback. There is no rhyme or reason to any of it and no explanation for the, literally, thousands of plastic grecian urns. (Thank God they did not put those darn urns in the cabins or I would have run amok.)
There are rooms on this ship that you cannot enter as the decor will make you dizzy and nauseated. (i.e.Firebird Lounge) It is the strangest conglomeration of stuff you have ever seen. It is hard to believe that this decor will not have to be changed as soon as word gets around.

The dining room is so noisy it is impossible to enjoy dining and the waiters make no effort, whatsoever, to improve things. They are badly trained and unskilled. It was very difficult to find a bar open and there was a complete lack of waiters in the public areas. You had to fight to get a before dinner drink and, of course, wait on yourself.
A couple of employees admitted that they were badly understaffed. It showed.

Our cabin was on the 8th deck forward/port side. It had a nice balcony. Very comfortable. We were grateful for the cabin as it was our refuge from the rest of the ship.

Quality of the shows and entertainers was mediocre at best.
Very boring cruise if you're not into bingo.
Average age of the passengers was about 75. Makes it hard for anyone in their early 50's.
