Itinerary: Mexico-Western

Overview
All in all a great ship. The rooms were great. Food good. Shows good. Style very loud. Clubs extensive. A taste for every liking. Excursions fun. The debarkation process needs to be restructured. You have some gifts you do not want to pack, but you have a breakfast at 7:45 am. You have to be out of your room by 8:00 am. Yes, refugee style. Carry all your bags to the dining room to eat in 15 mins. They announce that everyone should be in their waiting areas at 8am. Then you sit bored and uncomfortable for 2 hours. Sleep deprived and weary. All in all the worst experience off the boat ever.

Public Areas
The Lido deck is huge and protected giving plenty of space to sun and relax. The Blue Sapphire was huge, but views of the stage were obstructed often. If you were in the back then u cannot see. The Clubs were plentiful. If you wanted Jazz they had it. Techno, piano music, Karaoke, and Comedy. By far the most I have ever seen on a a ship.

Food and Service
Food was good. The deserts on the other hand were odd. They just brought the desert and did not give you a choice. The room service just had sandwiches which after coming back to the room at 3 am would not do. Hot food would have been nice....The Panorama Bar and Grill was alright. No selection though. Pizza was very good. The Burgers and hot dogs good as well. The Sushi Bar was a pleasant surprise too.

Cabins
The Room was on Main Deck Forward. The cabin was huge compared to the Ocean Princess I was on in August. The shower was roomy enough for two. When grooming you did not have to fight the toilet for space. The beds were kind of lumpy but doable. The Window was quite big for great ocean views.

Entertainment
The Vegas shows were good as usual. The singers could improve they all are very over the top. Dancers were excellent. Variety of Entertainment was good.

Activities
The Itinerary was the norm for Baja Mexico 3 day. Ensenada the first day and a day at sea. Very relaxing and the best shopping if you know what u want. The Carnival Caper was full of fun stuff to do.

Who Goes
It is the younger party crowd that makes up these 3 day trips on the weekends. Some other Older folks as well. Kids were very limited. Drunks were everywhere.
