The Conquest is just another Destiny Class Ship that has been stretched out a little. The biggest short-coming of the design of the ship is there is NEVER any deck chairs available around the main pool. After 8:00 am all the chairs are gone but there is nobody in sight. Also there is not enough pool space for the amount of passengers on board.
The Promenade Deck is still Carnival and still versatile and quite nice. The casino is large and many slot machines are offered. Great entertainment always outside the casino. Be sure to check the "Resident Artist" it is totally unbelievable what he can do!
Carnival has come a long way with their food and menus. Their menus offer more choices then either RCCL or Princess, and now within the last couple of years the quality of their food has surpassed RCCL and Princess. Congrats to Carnival on this achievement!
The cabins are Carnival Large, plenty of room and the bathrooms are larger then most.
As many good things as I have to say about Carnival, the entertainment in the main theater is not one of them. They (all Carnival Ships) offer two good production shows and then they seem to piece together shows for the remainder of the 7 day cruise ie. they count the passenger talent show as a main evening show, one show only that is 1/3 full. New RCCL and Princess ships will offer three production shows plus 1-2 guest "Celebrity Entertainers" and then a farewell show plus the talent show is still offered in addition to these shows. Carnivals entertainers in all other lounges and venues are outstanding!
There is always something to do the ships are as much (if not more) of a destination then the islands.
The people you meet on all cruises are on vacation just like you and me and are always pleasant to be around.
