Itinerary: Caribbean - Western

Overview
Our cruise was 7 days 6 nights to the Western Caribbean.

Public Areas
People were saving deck chairs all over the place but there were always lots available (topless deck, and above the water slide). The water slide was almost always open and while I had heard there were 800 kids on board I sure couldn't tell from walking around the ship.

Food and Service
Dining service was the best I've had and the children's program was excellent. We tried "The Point" (the Conquest's alternative restaurant) and for the extra $25 per person thought it was a good deal. It was the nicest meal and the best food we have ever had.

Cabins
Our cabin and bathroom were very large (Category 6B). There are refrigerators in EVERY room (from Category 1A to 12), so use them for your wine or the drinks you smuggle on board. We just removed the items inside and left them on the counter top until the last night and we were never charged for using the items.

Entertainment
I thought that they did a good job scheduling activities for the 3 days at sea and the entertainment was very good.

Activities
Ports of call: Montego Bay: Either take an arranged tour or take the shuttle to Margaritaville or the City Centre shopping area because doing a tour on your own you are liable to get gouged. The taxi drivers (the approved JUTA ones) promise you a price and once they have you they start taking you around the countryside on a "tour" you didn't ask for and also start jacking up the prices on you.

Grand Cayman: Debarking/embarking on the tenders was well organized and the taxi drivers seemed to have morals.

Cozumel: Felt like home here. You have to watch the taxi drivers here but still nothing compared to Jamaica. Good shopping by the ship and downtown. We did the dolphin swim at Chaakanab and thought it was worth every penny. The park is also great if you want to snorkel or sip beer by the beach.

Who Goes
Clientele is midwestern and seemed typical like typical carnival customers.
