Overview
Millennium did not live up to expectations in my opinion. The ship is clean and modern but without a flair that made you go, "wow". The food was good quality but without zest or special sauces or flavor. Service was good. Our teen had a lot of fun. The May review of what a mess to get your car after the cruise was exactly the nightmare described. Golden Princess at Christmas was perfect from start to finish, I don't think we will stray again.

Public Areas
The pool hours are basically 8 to 8. One indoor pool used only by adults and one outdoor with 2 parts. Princess pools and hot tubs were open extremely late and lots of hot tubs on different decks.

Food and Service
Celebrity made a big show with waiters at the daily breakfast or lunch buffet to help you carry a tray but good luck if you wanted iced tea (one location inside and often out) They serve portions to you. 3 salad choices (usually greens, pasta, cut up veggie) 3 meat (usually small beef cubes covered in brown gravy, fish, and ?) and one carving station. Hours are limited and finding the same item at one of the "speciality" bars can send you in a circle. At dinner our waiter was Chandra. Best we have ever had on any ship, on any cruise. Did the upcharge restaurant one night. How many times do you want to be interrupted so they can say 1,2,3 and pick up plates? Food was OK.

Cabins
Cabin 9165 has a wonderful deck on back corner of the ship about 15 feet long. 1/2 under shade and 1/2 sun. 4 deck lounges and a couple of chairs plus table. Room divides with a sliding panel. Pull out couches sleep 2 on one side and a flip of the other couch will sleep another person in addition to the queen size bed in the other room. Great for families or sharing. Maybe go to 8th floor since cafe tables can look down on you but not a real problem.

Entertainment
On 10 night cruise had 3 production numbers. Quality of singers was excellent. Tenor can hit a high C and hold it!

Activities
Low key ship which suited me. Itinerary was wonderful. Loved St. Kitts (catamaran) St. Martin (butterfly farm and shopping on French side), Grenada (cave and flowers)St. Lucia (catamaran and plantation) Teens had dances starting at 12:30 at night. We had two 13 year olds and they loved it.

Who Goes
We found most passengers were not new to cruising. Many in 40's, affluent, educated.
