Overview
This was our honeymoon and on the whole we thought the cruise was very good value. Although the cabin was basic, the food and entertainment on board were very good. There were a few technical problems with the ship during our cruise which unfortunately cast a shadow over the holiday.

Public Areas
The pool was always overrun with children and the overall area for sunbathing was quite small and therefore busy. The bar service around the pool area, however, was great. We never had to wait very long for a drink.

We liked the midnight sun lounge both during the day and night. Daytimes: board games & evenings: disco.

Food and Service
The 1 dining room - the King & I restaurant - was fabulous! The food very nice and the service first rate. The waiters often sang to the diners, which created a very lively atmosphere.

Cabins
We were quite disappointed with our main deck cabin. Although we had a nice big window, the decor and furniture were really shabby. All it needed was a lick of paint, new curtains and furniture and it would have been a lot better. We would recommend anyone going on this ship to try to get a cabin in the centre of the boat. Our cabin was at the back and although a reasonably high deck we could always hear the engines, especially at night.

During the 2nd week of our holiday we got a horrible smell in the cabin - a bit like sewage. Not nice!!!!

Entertainment
The comedians were great. Especially bobby kay and diane cousins.

Most of the entertainment on board was very like a holiday camp. The crew staff were very good at getting those who wanted to join in to participate and leaving those who didn't alone. Bingo isn't really our cup of tea so it suited us fine!

Most of the activities were designed for "older" people, and being only 24 we would have preferred something a little more lively.

Activities
Ports of call were:
La Coruna
Agadir (horrible place)
Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
Santa Cruz, Tenerife
La Gomera
Funchal, Maderia (one of the nicest places we've ever been)
Lisbon, Portugal

We were supposed to be going to Casablanca instead of Agadir but because the ship broke down we had to go to Agadir.

Who Goes
Luckily we shared our table with 3 lovely couples (hi gladys & robert, ann & fred and matt & janet if you are reading this). Unfortunately they all live a bit too far away to come over for dinner.

Although most of the people on board were quite a lot older than us we got on with them all fine and met some really nice people.
