Overview
Just came back from our cruise .My wife and I had a wonderful time. We went to Jamaica, Costa Rica, Panama, San Blas islands and Colombia. How can people complain about the Sundream? People will always complain with the mouth full.(French proverb). It was really great value for money and a really enjoyable experience. To tell you the truth we were not happy with 1 thing and that was the trip to Panama. We went to a river boat trip on the Chagres river and we thought that it was very expensive for what it was.Otherwise it was great. We went white water rafting in Costa Rica and had a thrilling experience. This trip was really good value and very well managed. Our guide Alejo was a top bloke and we had a fantastic time.Do this ....you will enjoy every minute of it.San blas was good and you meet the local and primitive Kuna indians...ok...you could not stay more than 3 hours on this very small island but it is different...it is how it should be...if you are going in the far side of the world it is to see and learn new cultures and expend your knowledge.Columbia was very good...I was a bit worried at first to come out because of the bad publicity but my dear wife did 'kicked'my backside and encouraged me to go to the city.We did not take a tour but went by ourselves. We risked the local taxis and what a great adventure it was.We went to a wonderful, big, spacious jewellery shop and purchased 2 superb uncut emeralds for $13 dollars each...believe me or not...but Colombia is the best country in the world for emeralds. If we would have take the tour we won't have been able to shop around and find these great deals...We then went to the old city...in a taxi and what a beautiful place it was.Go there and try it...it is worth it...but be careful...keep your eyes open and be strong...we will encounter many street sellers and so on...Locals will try everything to get few US dollars from you and if you have got a weak mentality it is not for you.We went to Egypt last year and had to deal with similar situations so we were ready...but if you want a shock of cultures then try to go...you will not regret it...the way I see it is...How many of your friends or colleagues went to Columbia or Costa Rica....If you are there but don't get out of the boat then it is sad and a missed opportunity. Then back to Jamaica in Montego bay...I love this place and didn't stay over there long enough.I love the locals, their life style and their music...We will go back there one day. Overall we had a fantastic time on a very good ship,a very good value holiday packed with action,adventure,charm... Not to be missed and no right to moan... You have got to be a sad individual if you moan after a holiday like this.

Public Areas
No problem at all. The pool was OK but did not go swimming. tried my luck at the roulette in the casino and won $17. Do not laugh...it was my first time in this particular activity...it is not Las Vegas but it is enough. The Midnight sun was a nice lounge where you could relax with a good drink. The other lounges/rooms were good.

Food and Service
How on Earth can people complain about the food !!! here I go again...The food was amazing...about 6 meals a day if you wanted to.We tried the food on the deck but much preferred the food in the restaurant. We had breakfast a la carte every morning...I really enjoyed my fresh salmon ....a la carte lunch...4 courses...and a la carte dinner with 5 courses! The food was varied and excellent.Every night x3 different starters,x5 different main meals ,x3 or 4 desserts, soup and salads and coffee with waiter service...You cannot expect more can you ?

Cabins
The cabin was small but we expected it... So no false expectations. We did not spend much time in the cabin anyway because we were always out enjoying ourselves. Even an elephant could fit in the shower. No problem at all... I actually loved my power shower....

Entertainment
OK...nothing special...We went to a couples of shows and we found them average...we much preferred having a drink my wife and I or socialising with new friends.

Activities
As explained earlier we went ashore in all locations and really enjoyed it.We loved Costa Rica,Colombia and Jamaica. If you go all the way there then you need to get out and see + learn new things. Best trip was the white water rafting in Costa Rica in grade 3 rapids !Wahoo!

Who Goes
Some were very nice...We met an elderly couple from Newcastle and they were lovely people.I'll invite them to Somerset soon.
