Overview
This was my first cruise and I was impressed. I would definitely do the same trip again. 10/10

Public Areas
Many things to do on board. If you wanted to boogie the night away, then Neptunes was where you would go. If you wanted a quiet drink then there was an area with a pianist that played every night. Then there was the cancan lounge which did two shows each night for each sitting of dinner. On the first night we did not leave the port as scheduled at 10pm as a flight from Canada had been delayed and this meant the sail away party with "Le Chicque" went on whilst we were still in Palma at the port. There was also Bingo every night (if you like that sort of thing. The Chart room at the top of the ship was an adults only venue. There was a creche on board for 3-6 year olds and another room for children of 6 and older where there were play stations and films showing.

Food and Service
Food was great. The main restaurant served 5 courses and I enjoyed them all. Service was excellent. I was very impressed with the Chocoholics buffet and was glad I stayed up. We took a 2 year old with us and milk would be delivered promptly to our room at any time we wanted it and free of charge. The lido cafe served buffet style lunch which was quite adequate. Thoroughly enjoyed all the food.

Cabins
Cabins were quite small. We were impressed to find that we had been upgraded to an outside cabin after paying for an inside one. This was due to needing three beds. Rooms were kept clean and Hazib our cabin steward entered our room three times each day. After breakfast our beds would be made into settees again and then after dinner we would find they had been made into beds. Fresh towels supplied twice daily and all the toiletries you would need. There were also towels supplied for use on deck.

Entertainment
It was hardly Broadway, but it was adequate. There was a singer called Penny Lane who was really good and on another night there was a comedian/magician/musician called John Courtney who was excellent. The crew did a show which was ok. I only got to see 4 nights of entertainment due to feeling ill one night and babysitting the other! There was a karaoke one night where they chose people to enter into a "Stars in their Eyes " type competition.

Activities
Itinerary was fantastic apart from Bizerte. Was not keen on this part of Tunisia at all and stayed only 30 minutes. Then there was Rome which took 2 hours from the port. We had to battle with 41 degrees celsius heat which was a killer, but Rome was fantastic. Florence was gorgeous but we did not get long enough. Next was Villefranche which we got to by private tender. Then onto Barcelona. We teamed up with some fellow passengers and paid 200 euros for a taxi for the day. This was a fantastic way of doing things and I would recommend it. We could have accommodated 6 people in the taxi which would have made it cheaper than the organised trips. The trips were quite expensive though. Rome with a guide was #49.00 (without #33.00) Florence was #49.00, Monaco/Monte Carlo was #28 for example.

Who Goes
Mainly UK citizens about 80% with the rest made up of Scandinavians and Canadians
