Overview
We cruised from Barbados to St. Lucia, Grenada, Caracas, Curacao, and Aruba. It was a great experience for our entire family. The staff was polite and friendly, the kids had a great time both on the ship and on excursions and the ship was clean. The entertainment was awesome. We can't think of a better vacation for a family.

Public Areas
We had no complaints about the public areas. All of the lounges were comfortable, although we feel that having smoking areas in corners of rooms is akin to having peeing areas in swimming pools. People also smoked in the hallways, which was unpleasant.

The pools were salt water, and a lot of fun, especially if there were waves in them. There were showers at the sides to rinse salt out of your eyes if you were unfortunate enough to get it there.

Walking the deck was great, and never too crowded.

Food and Service
The food was good, and service in the dining room was excellent. The boys particularly liked the breakfast buffet. If you slept in until 10:01, you couldn't get anything to eat until 11 a.m., and then just rolls and the like, which was a drawback.

Bar service on deck was hit and miss, and often it was better and quicker to get it yourself.

Cabins
The cabin, while small, didn't feel claustrophobic. The shower was a tight fit. The closets were adequate, and the suitcases fit under the bed/sofas, which helped. There wasn't too much noise and I've never slept better. The steward kept it very clean.

Entertainment
The cruise shows were top notch. We went to one every night, and often to the games afterwards. The bands were excellent, the cabarets were very well done, costumes great. The magician in particular was wonderful.

Activities
We went on a few excellent, though pricey, excursions. A jeep safari in St. Lucia was extremely fun and memorable. Another drive your own jeep safari in Curacao was likewise a memorable experience. The catamaran/snorkelling adventure in Aruba was fabulous!

We did not go to Margarita, which was on the itinerary and that was a huge disappointment. We went to Caracas - a horrible place where we were afraid to go ashore. A complete waste of money and time. The pools were great, the health club looked good but we didn't use it. We had no need of childcare - a good thing as there was none.

Who Goes
Our table partners at dinner were friendly and helpful, sharing their experiences with us. As is everywhere you go, there were people you liked and people you didn't. It's a big ship.
