Itinerary: Mediterranean

Overview
This was my first cruise holiday and I was pleasantly surprised how enjoyable it really was. The Seawing is not a large ship by today's standards but it gave everybody a chance to meet and become friendly with those on board. The highlights of the cruise for me was the variation in the ports of call and the excellent crew.

Public Areas
The facilities on board were limited, especially the pool area. I can not recall seeing anybody use it during the trip. The Gymnasium was lacking a sauna and solarium to help sweat off the pounds put on over indulging at the buffet. The bars were great and the staff even better ,with the Piano bar the best by far.

Food and Service
I found the food and service excellent. How people could complain about what was on offer is beyond me. For someone who likes their food, the Midnight Buffet was the best meal of the day.Presentation was first class and the waiters became our best friends by the time we left the ship.

Cabins
The size of the cabins was quite adequate, and with a reasonable shower and comfortable beds what more could one want ? Maybe a Television and video player would have been a good idea!

Entertainment
The shows in the Clipper lounge were very good although aimed at the older passengers. The Crow's Nest was where the younger people seemed to gather at night and the staff tried their best to entertain them. The Piano Bar had some very talented staff who were better singers than the entertainers and the passengers soon found out the place to be each night.

Activities
The cruise from Tenerife to Limasssol made stops at Agadir,Malaga,Valletta,Athens,Herakilion,Santorini and Rhodes. The only port I would not advise getting off at is Agadir which is a dirty town which seems full of beggers. Santorini is the complete opposite and the most place on the trip. The tours were excellent and very well organised.

Who Goes
The passengers were from all age groups and everybody looked like they were enjoying the cruise. We have kept in contact with our fellow passengers since we returned, unfortunately the crew and staff have not returned or maybe not received our mail we sent them. New friends, new locations and new experiences.I recommend Seawind to anyone.
