Overview
I NEVER REALISED THAT A CRUISE COULD BE SO BRILLIANT. FROM THE MOMENT I BOARDED THE SHIP I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE We had booked for a cruise and stay holiday but on our second week on shore we kept wishing that we were still on the boat. We are going again in 2002 but staying for 2 weeks on the carousel, and are counting the days away. Well done Airtours.

Public Areas
The sun deck was a great place to relax and socialise with new found friends. There were plenty of sun beds or if you wanted to relax in the shade you could always find a sunbed to relax, read or fall asleep. The pool was warm and inviting, the lounges were airy and comfortable.

Food and Service
What can i say , from boarding the ship to getting off the staff were very friendly and the service brilliant, our table waiter Ferrous was exceptionally brilliant, entertaining us each night, and our cabin steward Bert was always greeting us with his lovely smile and politeness. They made my husband and myself feel like royalty. Thank you very much .

Cabins
Our cabin was comfortable and clean. My husband is 6ft 3 but he managed to enjoy the shower .Although there was a slight noise from the engine this was not enough to keep us awake. We had a picture window on main deck so each morning we woke to different scenery.

Entertainment
The cruise and staff are brilliant. We went to the show after dinner every night, when we could prise our selves away from the entertainment in the restaurant.

Activities
Apart from one day at sea, we went ashore every day.Our first stop was Bizerte in Tunisia, and we leisurely walked around the port town. Our trip from Citavecchia led us to the eternal city of Rome it was brilliant,i sat around the Trevi fountain and was in awe of the place.I fell in love with Barcelona as we walked up the main street filled with entertainers and stall holders. Villefranche on the french riviera was breathtaking,we did not go on a excursion but took a tender boat out to shore and walked around with some friends. If you did not want to go ashore there was always something to do on the Carousel.

Who Goes
The Carousel is a friendly ship, and we spoke to quite a lot of people not only from the uk but from Canada and the scandinavian countries. We made friends with quite a lot of people who we spent time with during the cruise.
