Itinerary: Mediterranean

Overview
This was the first cruise we had been on and we thought it was excellent. The food was excellent, the staff really treat you well and the itinerary was great. A cruise is something for everyone of all ages. Plenty going on for the kids as well. A great holiday!

Public Areas
The public areas were wonderful, you could make your holiday as busy or as quiet as you wanted. There are quiet areas of the ship inside & out and plenty of shaded areas if you wanted to keep out of the sun. The only problem I encountered was the pool was a little bit small, and tended to be full of children all day, which was inconvenient if you just wanted a quite swim.

Food and Service
I could not fault the service or the food. The waiters really treat you like a queen and the service they provide is second to none. They really made us laugh, too! There was always plenty to eat if you could fit it all in, and food was served in different places if you didn't want to have it in the restaurant all the time.

Cabins
The cabin was suprisingly spacious, (we were situated on A deck inside cabin) and our chambermaid attended it twice a day. It was a little bit noisy at night but nothing that would prevent you from sleeping. I may be difficult for a full sized person to have managed in our cabin, I do not think they cater for the larger person.

Entertainment
The shows we attended were of excellent standard. From the cabarets to the comedy shows "The Worst Link" and "Mr & Mrs" to comedians, they really were great.

Activities
We didn't go on any of the organised excursions, we just disembarked the boat and had a walk around each of the ports of call. They were Malta, Sicily, Naples, Sardinia & Corsica. If you didn't fancy going offshore there was still plenty to do on the ship.

Who Goes
Mainly couples, although I was with my mum. People are very friendly and we stayed with the people we met at dinner for most of the week. We do not really live near our fellow passengers so I do not think we'll keep in touch.
