Itinerary: Alaska-Inside Passage

Overview
One of the best trips we've ever taken. The smaller size of the ship provides much more opportunity to observe wildlife and participate in activities, and become part of a family affair. The itinerary, the ship, the food, the crew, the length of the cruise are just great....

Public Areas
The ship's lounge was comfortable and enjoyable, the walk=around promenade on deck 300 was great, but there was no pool or casino, but we did not book this trip for pools or casinos. The daily schedule of activities kept us busy and tired out without the need for a casino or pool.

Food and Service
Small ship have only one dining room, and after a buffet breakfast every morning, lunch and dinner was served, with choices every day.

Cabins
The ship was extremely quiet except when dropping anchor, but could hardly be heard when cruising at night. Closet and shower/bath was fine, a hand held shower hose made it very convenient.

Entertainment
No shows, except for National Park Rangers commentary as we traveled and talk/slide presentations on Wildlife and Alaska. The cruise staff was very accommodating. The doll sheep, the bears, the seals, sea lions, whales, and the glaciers provided great entertainment.

Activities
No. These trips are not for infants or children requiring babysitting. The shore excursions in Skagway, Juneau and Sitka were lots of fun. Had enough time for shopping and shore sightseeing. White water rafting, Kayaking, White Pass Railroad, Native show, raptor center provided a varied and enjoyable range of activities.

Who Goes
If some lived close enough we sure would, as the small size of the group allowed us to dine with most of the people on board.
