Overview
M/V DANUBE PRINCESS......comfortable and solid, that's her in a nutshell. The DANUBE PRINCESS, or DONAUPRINZESSIN as you'll see painted on her hull, is a splendid alternative to the M/V MOZART should your budget or travel companion cry foul over the price for her five star service. Actually, the service and food on the DANUBE PRINCESS are great, and you would hardly be roughing it by opting for the DANUBE PRINCESS. Her bar, for example, is reminiscent of Royal Viking Line in decor and her dining room, while comfortably appointed, is a decorative non event.

Her cabins are fitted in a style hinting of Scandinavian modern with a bit of German whimsy. But they are fully equipped with requisite storage space and bathrooms with shower. Except for eight inside cabins that can house two or three passengers each, all others have either a large picture window or two portholes. If your pocketbook says okay, then book an outside cabin....the scenes you'll get along the river are worth the extra tariff. And here's a plus if you are traveling with children.....the DANUBE PRINCESS has an small outdoor swimming pool!

Should you be in the market for an exotic river trip at a very good price, consider one of the DANUBE PRINCESS' seven day round trips from Passau, Germany to Durnstein, Vienna, Esztergom, Budapest, Bratislava, Melk and Grein. I'd make room in my travel schedule for a ten or eleven day trip that takes you all the way from Passau down to Constanta on the Black Sea, with calls at virtually all the interesting spots in Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. There is simply no more comfortable way at a fair price to visit these fascinating countries. Also consider Deilmann's land tours that include these river cruises with stays in the more popular European cities.....they include almost everything but the kitchen sink and are extremely well planned and operated.
