Very much a mass market cruise, lots of people, junky shops, and bars.

There were no really appealing public areas on this ship except the promenade deck. The pools were always very crowded, the bars very smoky, and the self service restaurants very noisy and crowded. Spent a great deal of time in our cabin... which is not what one thinks of doing on a cruise.

Food was generally good. Seated meals were very enjoyable. Grill on deck was very good. Buffet was very hit and miss, as was pizza, and despite ship map's insistence there was no patisseria (bakery).

Cabins were very small, bathroom was the size of an airplane lavatory. Shower stall was ridiculously small. Closet and drawer space was adequate, but not abundant.

Entertainment was second rate for the entire cruise. A few amusing acts, but second rate.
The ports of call were why we chose this cruise. Ship left Southampton, visited Seville, Barcelona, Florence, Rome, Corsica, Mallorca, Gibraltar, and returned to Southampton. Great first european trip for my kids.
Fellow passengers were 90% british, and 10% from around the world. Lots of british teens...ugh. We did meet some nice americans and canadians.
